I'm sending a request, but I don't receive an answer.

Make sure you are sending requests to the correct short code number: IDIOLEX and IDEFS requests should be sent to DOTCOM (368266); IJUDGE and RCALC requests to DOTNET (368638).

Check the syntax of your request. (See the specific help page links on the Home page.

What do 368266 and 368638 mean?

They are the SMS short codes to which you should send requests (see above).

What is SMS?

Short Message System (SMS) messages are commonly referred to as text messages. They are short (160 character) message sent or received on a mobile phone.

It requested a player's rating, but I got back someone else.

Makre sure that you send Last Name, then First Name and Initial.

If the request is not an exact match, you will the closest matches available

It says, "PLAY is INVALID", but I know one of the words is good.

Word adjudication is performed tournament style: if one or more of the words is invalid, then the whole play is invalid.

I requested a defintion, but it came back blank or "NOT FOUND".

"NOT FOUND" indicates the word is not in the database. A blank definition indicates the word was found, but no definition is available.

Currently only definitions for words of length 2 to 5 are available. The definitions of words up to 15 letters in length will be available soon.
